Best known for being the native habitat of Komodo dragons, Komodo is an exotic tourist destination off the west of Flores Island in Indonesia. The cluster of islands has some of the best diving spots, beautiful marine life, and spectacular nature views. With unique attractions to enjoy on each island, the best way to explore the best of Komodo is to embark on a liveaboard sailing trip.

You can experience the diversity of life at Komodo with a visit to their national park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spot the massive Komodo dragons basking in their habitat at Rinca Island, and witness the awe-inspiring sight of bats dotting the sky at dusk at Kalong Island. The hilly contours at some of these islands also make excellent vantage points for viewing the sunrise and sunset.

As the destination is home to some of the most breath-taking beach sceneries, travellers cannot leave without witnessing some of them. A must-see is the Pink Beach in Komodo – one out of only seven of its kind in the world. Its salmon hue is produced when red coral fragments mix with sand at the shore, resulting in a unique visual phenomenon. Taka Makassar Island presents another dreamy sight, letting visitors laze on its white sandbar surrounded by shallow, transparent waters.

The islands are also excellent for snorkelling and diving, so gear up to spot some colourful fishes and sea turtles. At the various manta points, you might be lucky enough to swim alongside elegant manta rays. Indeed, the islands have no lack of beautiful coral reefs and marine life for your exploration.

With the myriad of charms from the islands of Komodo, this Indonesian destination is a sure treat for every visitor. Live it up the unique way with a liveaboard tour package from comelah – this way, you can get up close and personal to nature without worrying about your meals and lodging. Why wait? Set sail for a marine adventure of a lifetime with our 3-day liveaboard trip to Komodo!
